About | Hopewell Lodge

Hopewell is the perfect place to stay during your walk on the track and one night is never enough! Your friendly hosts Mike and Lynley welcome you to their award-winning lodge set in native bush on the water’s edge of the Kenepuru Sound. They can collect you by private water taxi from Portage Bay or Te Mahia Bay for an additional charge.

And while Hopewell is primarily a self-catering lodge with excellent kitchens for your use, Mike and Lynley are happy to offer the Queen Charlotte Track Walkers, gourmet pizzas, breakfast, coffees and have some basic groceries available. They can also organise groceries  to be delivered for your stay directly from the supermarket. Please organise this in advance. 
Choose from double, twin, family rooms or a self-contained cottage. All doubles have king beds and all beds are made up with quality linen, duvets and towels are provided. Some have private bathrooms and most have sea views and a deck.

Relax in the hammocks, soak in the hot spa, swim from the private beach or explore the coastline by kayaks and SUP’s. Collect the delicious local mussels, oysters and cockles. Visit the glow-worms and check out the amazing night sky.
